What we
eat truly affects how we feel physically, mentally
and emotionally. A healthy diet is essential for
disease prevention, healing and maintaining good
health. Many of the diseases of our modern era, such
as heart disease, diabetes and cancer, were rare
even 100 years ago in the US.
Those living in
cultures eating the traditional foods of their
ancestors are not plagued by these modern diseases.
Other conditions unheard of in the past -
Generalized Anxiety Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis,
ADD/ADHD, and Autism - are also all too commonplace
now. The changes in our diets over the last 100
years have made a significant and deleterious
impact.
One of
the best choices you can make for yourself and your
family is to buy and eat healthy foods. You will be
amazed at the power of good nutrition to help you
truly feel and look well.
A healthy diet provides
the building blocks that our cells and bodies
require to prevent disease and create abundant
health for each future generation. This diet is
based on whole and natural foods similar to what our
pre-agricultural ancestors ate, before processed
foods were available.
The healthiest and longest
living humans world-wide do not count calories or go
on diets, but simply eat balanced diets
|
of
natural proteins, fats, vegetables and fruits. This
way of eating is popularly called "Paleolithic"
because of the focus on natural foods in a balance
similar to what humans have eaten for over two
millions years of our evolution.
Dietary
change can be challenging. However, the
"Paleolithic" diet produces such beneficial change
in how one feels both physically and mentally that
most are highly motivated to continue on this diet.
